Join us for a casual welcome reception at the hotel.  We'll enjoy cocktails and dinner while reconnecting with old and new colleagues!  Included in registration fee for attendees and social guests

La Paz Waterfall Gardens & Lunch - Thursday, Feb. 9

12:30 - 5:30 pm

This tour takes us across coffee plantations and scenic vistas. As we ascend the terrain, we will notice a change in temperature and vegetation; we will see coffee plantations, as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful array of colors and textures.  As we arrive at La Paz Waterfall Gardens, we will enjoy a scrumptious lunch before heading towards the rain and cloud forest for a hike that will reveal five waterfalls: Templo, Magia Blanca, Encantada, Escondida and La Paz.  For those looking for a more relaxed stroll, enjoy a walk through a trail leading to the gardens, visit the aviary, hummingbird gallery, butterfly garden, serpentarium, and the frog’s exhibit to be enjoyed by those of all ages.

Rainforest Experience - Friday, Feb 10

Choice of: Aerial Tram OR Zipline

Enjoy a delicious local lunch on property, then go on a fascinating excursion through the rain forest canopy and its hanging gardens of plants and animals hidden at the tops of tall tropical trees. Home of two-thirds of all rain forest species, the rain forest canopy is a little-known world of an extraordinary biological diversity. The site, adjacent to the northern border of Braulio Carrillo National Park, houses one of the richest canopy communities in the world. Choose to take the 1 hour round trip aerial tram, or get your adrenaline pumping and take the zipline!

Doka Coffee Plantation - Saturday, Feb 11

12:30pm - 5:00 pm    $70 per person 

The fascinating Doka Estate is known for its unique quality only enjoyed by real connoisseurs. It has the oldest wet coffee storage in the country still in production, moved solely by the force of water without using any electricity.

Guests will walk lectured by expert guides through the planted fields, thru the oldest working coffee mill in the country and smell the bouquet emitted by the fresh coffee beans while sun-dried every morning in patios where expert staff looks after the best quality coffee bunches to roast them to perfection. After the cupping session at the roasting house the guests will be invited to enjoy all the different coffee blends and shop at factory prices.

Poaz Volcano - Saturday, Feb 11

Anyone peering into Poás enormous crater with its boiling, sulfurous lake is reminded of the great power of nature.  The volcano’s active crater is one of the largest in the world measuring 1.5 km (1 mile), and the sight of the smoking fumaroles and greenish-turquoise sulfurous lake at the bottom is breathtaking. Poás Volcano National Park protects a spectacular cloud forest that offers tempting trails that lead you through the exotic flora of this unique environment.

  • Bring: comfortable clothing, walking shoes, insect repellent, binoculars, camera, jacket, rain gear. *Higher elevation gets cool; rain jacket or poncho to protect clothing.
  • Included: transportation, tour guide, box lunch and entrance fee to national park.  Min. 10ppl - Gratuity not included

Farewell Dinner - Saturday, Feb 11
